El origen griego de la identidad colectiva de Europa

Abstract

Este artículo analiza la cultura griega como mito fundacional del concepto de Occidente a través de la continuidad de creaciones helenas en el campo del arte, la filosofía, la historia y la literatura e incidiendo especialmente en la asimilación cristiana de valores de la Grecia antigua.

This paper intends to analyse the role played by the Ancient Greek culture in founding some Western myths that are the base for the concept of European identity. These myths are specially incident in Arts, Philosophy, History and Literature and had been assimilated by the Christian thought.
