Electrocardiology deals with the description of intracardiac bioelectric phenomena and the ex-
tracardiac electric field generated in the human body. It has been increasingly supported by the
mathematical and numerical computational models. The formulation of models at both cellular and
tissue levels provide essential tools in order to increase the knowledge of this phenomena. On the
other hand, electrocardiography is the process which permits recording this electrical activity of the
heart over a period of time using electrodes placed on the skin. This article presents a computational
model of the heart that is compared with an electrocardiogram obtained in the laboratory using an
electrocardiograph of own construction.
