The appearance of a black hole when observed from a long distance is a complex problem that requires a complicated mathematical apparatus. The model is significantly dependent on the particular type of black hole that is being studied. We compute and picture the appearance of several simple cases and compare the effects of charge and quantum gravity corrections on the apparent shape of a rotating black hole 2022/2023
