In this project, the aim goal is to design a program which can obtain automatically a particular set of points from different images, all of which containing the same pattern. The point of the implementation is that the software requires no human intervention other than selecting the input image. We will see later on that the results are very satisfying as the obtained data restricts the average error in pixels – normalized with the diagonal of the image – below 0.0031 in all pictures. This paper aims to outline the most relevant aspects of how this process is carried out and discuss about some of the main results.
